Overview
This Privacy Policy explains what information Cleantu ("the App", "we", "us") handles, why we handle it, and the choices you have. Cleantu is a photo and video organization tool that helps you find duplicates, similar shots, large videos, and screenshots so you can free up space.
Our guiding principle is minimal collection. If we do not need your data to deliver a feature, we do not ask for it, store it, or transmit it.
Your media stays on your device. Duplicate detection, similarity comparison, video compression, and organization all run locally using Apple's on-device frameworks. Your photos and videos are never uploaded to our servers.
02 — On-Device Processing
Information We Process On-Device
To organize your library, Cleantu reads metadata and generates small, temporary representations of your photos and videos directly on your iPhone. This includes:
- File metadata — file size, resolution, duration, creation date, and media type.
- Perceptual fingerprints — short, non-reversible signatures used to detect duplicates and similar images. These cannot be used to reconstruct your photos.
- Compressed previews — tiny thumbnails created in memory to compare frames; they are not saved outside the app's temporary sandbox.
All of the above is processed using the iOS PhotoKit and AVFoundation frameworks. The original files are never copied to a remote location, and the temporary working data is deleted when you close the App or complete an action.
03 — Photos & Videos Access
Photos & Videos Access
Cleantu requests access to your photo library through Apple's standard privacy prompts. You choose whether to grant access to selected photos or your entire library.
- We only read the assets you have authorized the App to access.
- Deletions and replacements happen through the system Photo Library API — you are always asked to confirm before anything is removed.
- Compressed videos you choose to save are written back to your photo library by the system; we do not keep a copy.
You can review or revoke access at any time in Settings → Apps → Cleantu → Photos.
04 — Subscriptions & Purchases
Subscriptions & Purchases
Cleantu offers optional Pro features through auto-renewing subscriptions and one-time purchases, handled entirely by Apple's App Store. We never see or store your payment card, billing address, or Apple Account credentials.
What Apple collects
Purchase history, subscription status, and payment details — governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
What we receive
Only a confirmation that a purchase is valid (e.g. "active Pro"), used to unlock features on your device.
What we never see
Your credit card number, name on the card, or billing address.
To manage or cancel a subscription, use Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. For purchase support, contact Apple at support.apple.com/billing.
05 — Analytics & Crash Reports
Analytics & Crash Reports
We use Apple's built-in, privacy-preserving diagnostics to improve the App. If you have opted in through Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements, Apple may share anonymous crash logs and performance metrics with us.
- These reports contain no photos, videos, filenames, or personal content.
- They are aggregated and cannot be used to identify you.
- We do not embed third-party advertising or tracking SDKs in the App.

07 — Your Rights & Choices
Your Rights & Choices
Because we store essentially no personal data about you, there is little to request, correct, or delete. You remain in full control:
- Revoke library access anytime in iOS Settings.
- Delete local data by uninstalling the App — all temporary working files are removed with it.
- Cancel Pro through your Apple subscription settings; access ends at the period's close.
Residents of the EU, UK, and certain U.S. states may have additional rights under applicable law. Contact us and we will respond within the timeframe required by law.
08 — Children's Privacy
Children's Privacy
Cleantu is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the App processes media on-device and uploads nothing, no child data is transmitted to us. If you believe a child has provided us information through another channel, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above, and where required, we will provide additional notice in the App. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
